   1. Develop and prioritize local hands- on mission opportunities

   2. Recruit, equip and train volunteers

   3. Effectively communicate opportunities, plans and activities to the congregation and the Ad Board

   4. Collect and deliver goods to local organizations

   5. Coordinate activities with the other mission subcommittees

   1. Volunteers have local projects such as Wheelchair Ramps, and county projects  Neighborhood Preservation

   2. Work with other local United Methodist Churchs in on-going projects to aid those in need in our local communities.

   3. Disaster awareness and preparedness programs

   1. Set up a staggered 3 year rotation of six member committee to enable continuity and new membership-- Lyn, Ron

   2. Develop a significant local mission project in one of the neighboring regions such as Alameda County, salinas and various     

      projects in our Church District.

   3. Prepare resource guide of local mission opportunities

   4. Communicate opportunities on the web site, The Messenger and other communication media
